If you are attending a match, concert or show at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall, you may want a proper meal away from the rush at the arena doors. Serden is in neighbouring Bahçelievler, a short drive from the venue, and serves cağ kebabı at a sit-down restaurant.
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality’s venue record lists 15,600 seats in the indoor stands. When a large event ends, thousands of people can leave at once, so journey times around Ataköy and Şirinevler can change quickly.
How far is Serden from the arena?
The drive is about five minutes in normal traffic. Leaving the arena car park and event traffic can make it longer, so use the live directions link below when you are ready to set off rather than relying on a fixed estimate.
The address is Şirinevler Mah. Dereboyu Cad. Bayburt Sk. No: 10, 34188 Bahçelievler / İstanbul. The restaurant faces Dereboyu Caddesi. If you take a taxi, show the full address and the Bahçelievler district as well as the restaurant name.
Before or after the event?
We open every day from 12:00 to 23:00. For a meal before the event, leave time for the journey back, security checks and the walk to your entrance. If the show ends close to 23:00, call before travelling; the closing time is not a promise that a new table can still be served at the last minute.
Eating before the event is usually easier to plan than joining the full crowd on departure. If you prefer to come afterwards, check the live route and ask about tables as soon as the event finishes.
Coming with friends or family

There are parking spaces around the front and rear of the restaurant, but they are not reserved with a table and availability varies. If your group is arriving in several cars, ask about the current situation when you call.
What should I order?
Cağ kebabı is lamb cooked horizontally in front of an oak-wood fire and served on small skewers. At Serden, one portion is two skewers, and you can add another skewer afterwards. Sliced onion, spicy ezme and pickled peppers come alongside; shepherd’s salad and buffalo-milk yoghurt are separate orders.

A simple event-day plan
Check the event time, call ahead if you are a group, and open the live route just before leaving. This is more dependable than planning around one journey time on a busy event night.
If you arrived by public transport, use your actual arena exit as the starting point for walking or onward travel. Serden is also near Ataköy-Şirinevler metro and Şirinevler Metrobus stations.
